David spent ten years on the editorial beat followed by another ten years in various senior management positions with P&L responsibilities in both the UK and Australia.
 
He has worked in some of the biggest consumer magazine segments: women, men, music, and youth. Media brands that David has been responsible for include: More, Q, Bliss, Looks, Kerrang, Smash Hits and Playboy Australia.

David went on to spend 4 years as the Head of Learning & Development in the London division of Emap. Here he was responsible for the strategy and implementation of all L&D solutions for over 800 employees.

Prior to the company being sold in 2008, David spent 12 months in a company-wide role to speed-up the implementation of the company digital strategy.

As Head of Creative, Content and Digital Capability he ensured employees were provided with the correct know-how and skills to successfully migrate print and broadcast products on to digital platforms.
A freelance media consultant at present, David’s specialties include brand development, organisational change, management training and publishing skills.
